Mark Peters believes in transparent leadership and community engagement.
Here are Mark's priorities for Centerville Schools.
Proven Financial Leadership
Strategic Problem Solving
Mark has held senior leadership roles in both established corporations and high-growth startups. He’s known for balancing competing priorities, solving complex problems, adapting to change, and making sound, data-informed decisions.
As a Data Scientist and Six Sigma Black Belt, he brings deep expertise in data-driven decision-making, process improvement, and operational efficiency—skills essential for addressing our district’s financial challenges and ensuring long-term sustainability.
With the departure of Dr. Roer, a longtime respected local businessman, the Board is losing a valuable voice in financial and strategic leadership. Mark is uniquely qualified to fill that gap.
Ohio’s school funding system is increasingly unpredictable. Mark brings decades of experience in financial strategy, risk management, and business operations—expertise our Board needs to navigate budget challenges, plan long-term, and make every tax dollar count.
Deep Commitment to our District
Mark is a longtime supporter and engaged member of the Centerville community. He’s been:
-
A key member of the Fall 2024 levy committee
-
A seven-year budget advisor for the Centerville Jazz Band
-
A four-year booster representative for the boys tennis team
-
A Scout leader, helping develop youth into responsible young adults and citizens
-
A regular attendee at school board meetings to stay informed about district needs and community impact
Mark brings curiosity and a well-rounded perspective—balancing educational priorities with operational realities to make thoughtful, long-term decisions that benefit both students and taxpayers.
Leadership That Looks Ahead
Mark isn’t just experienced—he’s forward-thinking. His leadership focuses on innovation, sustainability, and maintaining excellence in education while being mindful of taxpayers.
While the Board includes strong advocates for educational excellence, it also needs expertise in capital planning and long-range financial forecasting. Mark is both an advocate for educators and brings the financial and operational skills that strengthen our Board’s ability to plan for the future.
Mark offers the strategic balance our Board needs: real-world leadership, financial discipline, and a deep commitment to Centerville’s future.
Let’s put that experience to work for our kids and our community!
